Year 3 instrumental project open morning

On Tuesday 11th March we welcomed a number of parents, of boys in Year 3, into the Music School. This was an opportunity for them to see, first hand, exactly what happens during a typical project session.
It was great to see so many parents supporting their sons and enjoying the lessons with them!
Here are a few quotes from parents who came along:
“Thank you very much for giving this wonderful opportunity to see boys in action…”
“The music morning gave me an insight on how music is being taught and I can see why he is progressing so well.”
“I had a fantastic time seeing my son play his Cello with
confidence and with complete composure…”
“It was a real pleasure to see how the boys interact in their music session, the obvious warmth between the group and their teacher…”
“It was lovely to see the boys playing as a group today, and to hear the pieces they are learning. I am looking forward to hearing them in concert later this year!”
“It was sheer delight to see my son and the other boys playing their instruments at the open sessions on 11 March. Mrs Bounford has an excellent rapport with the boys and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them all play their violins together – to a standard I never thought possible. The experience of playing together and the delight in the boys’ faces when they performed well shows how useful the project is in unlocking music for the boys.”

Thank you to Mrs Edwards (Woodwind), Mr Bound (Cello), Mrs Bounford (Violin) & Mr Lacey (Brass) for their hard work and dedication and thank you to all of the parents who are supporting their sons in developing their musical skills.
