During Arts Week, on Wednesday 19th November, the Junior school welcomed ‘Bakayoko,’ an African dance and drumming company.

All of the boys buzzed with excitement as they entered the Recital Hall, which was set out with an array of Djembes, Dun duns and many other percussion instruments.

Team work, listening, observation, co-operation, communication and performance are just a few of the skills which were being developed during the workshops.

Watch the videos below to see just how much fun the boys had!

On Wednesday 19th November, 21 pupils from the Infant & Junior School each performed on the piano, in an after school, Tea-time concert. The concert took place in the Recital Hall,  at Nottingham High School.

It was a delight to see pupils from Year 1 through to Year 13 all performing alongside each other! A diverse repertoire of music was performed and the standard was very high! The experience was enjoyed by all and hopefully many of our Infant & Junior pupils were inspired as they saw what they could aspire to.

All of the pupils performed brilliantly and should be very proud of their efforts.

Well done to you all!

Children in Need 14 v1

We have enjoyed raising money for this year’s Children in Need .  Mrs Bruce welcomed assorted Superheroes to Achievement Assembly and we listened to Gareth Malone’s All Star Choir performing ‘Wake me Up’.  At break time the boys were treated to a cookie, prepared by the catering staff.  This afternoon Spiderman, Batman, Superman et al, went on to perform superhero feats at Valley Road.  Many thanks for your generous donations; we raised £260.
